Arrive at Bole International Airport in the evening, where your private driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening or take a short walk around the neighborhood. Your guide will also brief you about the adventure ahead.

Begin your Ethiopian journey with a full day exploring Addis Ababa. Visit selected cultural and historical attractions, such as the National Museum, where the famous fossil remains of Lucy are displayed, and enjoy views from the Entoto hills. Continue through the city to experience local markets and everyday life.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner accompanied by cultural music and performances.

Fly to Bahir Dar and begin your exploration of Lake Tana, Ethiopia's largest lake. Take a boat across the water toward the Zege Peninsula, where you can visit historic monasteries such as Ura Kidane Mihret and Azwa Mariam.

Afterward, return to Bahir Dar and explore the local atmosphere around the market area. You may also visit Weyto village, known for traditional Tankwa boat construction, before enjoying views around the lake and the Blue Nile outlet.

After breakfast, travel by road from Bahir Dar to Gondar through the northern highlands. Upon arrival, discover the city's impressive royal heritage.

Explore the Royal Enclosure and its historic castle buildings before visiting Debre Berhan Selassie Church, famous for its richly painted interior and distinctive ceiling decoration. Later, continue to Fasilides' Bath, an important site associated with the annual Timket celebration.

Leave Gondar in the morning and drive toward the Simien Mountains. Complete the necessary park formalities before continuing to Michibiny, the starting point of today's trek.

The first hiking stage is deliberately moderate, allowing you to adjust to the altitude. Walk through the highland terrain toward Sankaber while enjoying your first views of the dramatic Simien escarpment.

Continue deeper into the Simien Mountains on a scenic trek toward Geech. The trail crosses open grasslands, cultivated areas and Afro-alpine vegetation while following the edge of the spectacular escarpment.

Along the route, watch for large groups of endemic Gelada baboons. Stop at the viewpoint overlooking Jinbar Falls, where the waterfall drops dramatically into the deep valley below. Later, reach Geech and enjoy a traditional coffee experience with local residents before settling into camp.

Today brings one of the most spectacular trekking stages of the journey. Begin from Geech and climb toward Imet Gogo, a high viewpoint offering expansive views across the Simien landscape.

Continue through the highland plateau, where giant lobelia and other alpine vegetation create a distinctive environment. Keep your eyes open for birds of prey and the endemic thick-billed raven. The route continues toward Inatye before descending toward Chenek, an excellent area for observing Walia ibex.

Leave Chenek for the final major trekking stage in the Simien Mountains. Follow the trail toward Bwahit Pass, reaching approximately 4,200 meters. Depending on weather, fitness and trail conditions, an additional climb toward Ras Bwahit can be arranged.

After completing the trek, descend from the highlands and drive to Debark. The evening provides an opportunity to rest after several days of mountain trekking.

Travel north from Debark toward Axum, passing through dramatic mountain scenery and rural settlements. Make stops along the way to appreciate the changing landscapes.

After arriving in Axum, explore important archaeological and religious landmarks, including the famous granite stelae, ancient tombs and the historic compound of St. Mary of Zion. Discover the city's connection with Ethiopia's ancient civilization and its long-standing religious traditions.

Depart Axum and continue toward the Gheralta highlands around Hawzien. After arriving at your lodge, begin an afternoon excursion to one of the remarkable rock-hewn churches of the region.

Some churches are positioned high on cliffs and require a steep climb to reach. The effort is rewarded with ancient paintings, carved interiors and spectacular views across the Gheralta mountains. Return to the lodge as the surrounding peaks take on warm evening colors.

Spend another day discovering the Gheralta region at a more relaxed pace. Visit additional historic churches and explore the surrounding valleys and villages with your local guide.

Depending on your interests and physical ability, choose a suitable church excursion or enjoy a slower day at the lodge. The dramatic cliffs, dry valleys and traditional rural landscapes provide excellent opportunities for photography and cultural encounters.

Today the landscape changes dramatically as you travel toward the Danakil Depression. Join the desert convoy and continue across the remote Afar lowlands toward the Erta Ale area.

After reaching the volcano base, prepare for the evening trek. Begin the ascent after sunset when temperatures are more manageable. The walk crosses rugged volcanic terrain before reaching the crater area, where you can observe the powerful volcanic landscape.

Spend the night at a basic mountain camp under the open sky.

Start early with a final visit toward the crater area before descending back toward the base. After breakfast, continue by 4WD through the vast Danakil salt desert.

Along the way, encounter Afar salt workers and traditional camel caravans carrying blocks of salt from the desert. This ancient trade remains an important part of life in the region. Continue to Hamed Ela and enjoy the stark desert surroundings as evening arrives.

Rise early for an extraordinary exploration of the Danakil Depression. Visit the colorful geothermal landscapes of Dallol, where mineral formations and volcanic activity create striking shades across the desert.

Continue to Lake Asale, surrounded by extensive salt flats, and observe the traditional salt-mining landscape. Later, travel toward Lake Afrera, a hypersaline lake surrounded by volcanic scenery. If conditions permit, enjoy time near the lake and its natural hot springs before continuing toward Mekele.

After breakfast, begin the journey south toward Lalibela. The road passes through rural communities, mountain scenery and changing highland landscapes.

Spend the day exploring Lalibela's extraordinary rock-hewn churches, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Ethiopia's most important historic destinations.

Walk through the ancient church complexes, connected by narrow passages and courtyards carved from the surrounding rock. Visit the celebrated Church of Saint George and other major churches while learning about Lalibela's religious history and continuing traditions.

Enjoy a slower day in the Lalibela highlands. Travel or hike toward Asheton Maryam, a historic church situated at high elevation above the town.

The route offers beautiful views across the surrounding valleys and rural landscapes. For travelers who prefer a less strenuous experience, mule transport can be arranged locally at an additional cost. Return to Lalibela for a relaxed final evening.

After breakfast, transfer to Lalibela Airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. Depending on your international departure time, you can use the remaining hours for shopping, coffee, a final Ethiopian meal or a short city visit.
