Begin your journey with a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and drive toward the nearby Chencha highlands to visit a traditional Dorze community.

Explore the village and learn about traditional Dorze houses, weaving, farming, and local daily life. Enjoy the beautiful highland scenery before returning to Arba Minch in the afternoon.

Later, relax at your hotel and prepare for the journey deeper into the Omo Valley.

After breakfast, depart Arba Minch and travel south toward the Omo Valley. Along the way, explore the remarkable Konso Cultural Landscape, known for its terraced hillsides, traditional settlements, and distinctive agricultural practices.

Spend time learning about Konso culture and village life before continuing toward Jinka. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, rural communities, and scenic highlands.

Arrive in Jinka in the afternoon and check into your lodge. If time permits, visit the local market or take a short walk around town.

Overnight: Lodge in Jinka

After breakfast, travel from Jinka toward the Mursi area through the surrounding lowland landscapes. Enjoy the changing scenery as you approach the traditional Mursi communities.

Visit a Mursi village and learn about local customs, traditional clothing, daily activities, and cultural practices. Your guide will explain the traditions you encounter and help facilitate respectful interaction with community members.

After the visit, begin the return journey to Jinka. Along the way, enjoy the remote landscapes and rural communities of the Omo Valley.

Overnight: Lodge in Jinka

After breakfast, leave Jinka and travel south toward Turmi, one of the main centers of the Hamer area. The journey passes through dry plains, hills, villages, and traditional pastoral landscapes.

Upon arrival, visit a Hamer community and learn about their traditional lifestyle, pastoral activities, clothing, hairstyles, and cultural customs. If a traditional ceremony or cultural event takes place, you may have an opportunity to observe it according to local guidance.

Later, return to your accommodation and enjoy a relaxed evening in the Turmi area.

Overnight: Lodge or Camp in Turmi

After breakfast, travel toward the Omo River to visit a Karo community. The route takes you through remote landscapes of dry plains, hills, villages, and pastoral areas.

Visit a traditional Karo village and learn about their distinctive cultural traditions and artistic body and face painting. Your guide will explain the community's relationship with the Omo River and surrounding environment.

Continue to a scenic area along the river for photography and cultural observation. Afterward, return to Turmi and enjoy the evening at your accommodation.

After breakfast, explore more of the Hamer region around Turmi and Dimeka. Travel through the surrounding countryside and experience the traditional pastoral landscapes of southern Ethiopia.

Depending on the local schedule, visit Dimeka Market, where people from surrounding communities gather to trade livestock, agricultural products, clothing, and other goods. The market provides an excellent opportunity to observe everyday life and the interaction between different local communities.

In the afternoon, continue exploring the area or visit another nearby Hamer community. Finally, return to Turmi and enjoy a relaxed evening after a full day of cultural discovery.

After breakfast, begin the journey north from Turmi toward Jinka. Enjoy your final views of the Omo Valley as you travel through remote landscapes, villages, and pastoral areas.

Continue toward Arba Minch, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the route when time permits. As you move from the dry Omo lowlands toward the greener Rift Valley, experience the dramatic change in scenery.

Arrive in Arba Minch in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Relax and enjoy your final evening in southern Ethiopia.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Arba Minch before your return flight to Addis Ababa. Depending on your flight schedule, take a short excursion or enjoy a final view of Lakes Chamo and Abaya.

Later, transfer to Arba Minch Airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, your Omo Valley Tribal Tour comes to an end.
